Oh man, you guys, this movie was HI-LARIOUS! Obviously, it wasn't supposed to be, but I just couldn't keep a straight face throughout the entire film!
First off, I would just like to start a slow clap for Dominic Cooper's hair through the entire film. It was truly glorious! *slow clap*
I went to see this lovely film while I was in P-Town for my dear friend, Charli's wedding, so of course Charli, Emily and I all went together to see it. Just like old times; when we would go see any movie, even if it looked ridiculous (see: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). We had the immense pleasure of seeing this gem in 3D! Yeah, I'm not sure if it really helped it all, but whatevs. It's 3D, which is apparently the thing these days.
Now, I have read half of the book that this film is based on and I actually like it, so I'm guessing it's one of those books that just gets lost in translation to film because while I was entertained by the movie, it was just kinda all over the place.
Granted, I didn't go in expecting magical, Oscar-worthy performances or storytelling, but there was just something that was SO ridiculous about it. And it may very well have been the whole Lincoln and vampires thing...
Whatever, it was an entertaining hour and 45 minutes with awesome people, so I guess it wasn't THAT bad...
